New World ShieldForce makes real-time and mission-critical data for
public safety agencies available instantly, ultimately improving their
situational awareness and overall safety. New World ShieldForce features
a familiar user interface and native design and provides a vital
connection between patrol officers, dispatchers, and command staff by
extending computer-aided dispatch (CAD) functionality onto a smartphone,
tablet, or watch.
Command staff now have a tool that provides instant notifications to
them no matter the location, so they know if their response is required
on the scene of an emergency. ShieldForce also provides:
-
Instant access to all active calls on a map and in a list
-
Real-time positioning of units and officers
-
Quick access to arrest data, crash reports, and crime trends
"With ShieldForce, officers have the information they need at their
fingertips. They can receive immediate updates about an incident, have
the ability to gather critical information without calling dispatch, and
can improve situational awareness by seeing where other units and
personnel are located," said Greg Sebastian, president of Tyler's Public
Safety Division. "By having this comprehensive but easy-to-use software
available on IOS and soon on the Android platform, Tyler can help public
safety agencies increase situational and contextual awareness, improve
their service, and ultimately, keep communities safer."
ShieldForce also allows CAD functionality and communication to be
extended into the field. Officers can focus on specific critical details
while providing crucial information into the call for service to aid
other responders and dispatchers. Responders and dispatchers can benefit
from having the ability to visually track the location of officers,
detectives, and other personnel who don't traditionally have laptops or
mobile data terminals.
Tyler plans to make the ShieldForce mobile application available for
Android in spring 2019, including optimizing it for Samsung DeX, as well
as the Samsung Gear S3 and Samsung Galaxy Watch smartwatches.
Tyler will be showcasing the ShieldForce app on IOS, and Samsung Gear S3
Frontier and Samsung Galaxy Watch at the International Association of
Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference in Orlando, Florida, from Oct. 6-9.
