Tyler Technologies Signs $1.2 Million Sheriff System Contract with Montgomery County, TX

Dallas, Texas, August 13, 2002 —Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that it has entered into a contract to provide Montgomery County, Texas with Tyler's Sheriff System. Under the contract, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2003, Tyler will provide Montgomery County with application software, system software, hardware, custom development, training, project management and other professional services. The total estimated value of the contract is approximately $1.2 million. Located just north of Houston, Montgomery County has a population of nearly 300,000 and is the 28th fastest growing county in the nation.
Tyler's Sheriff System automates all elements of the dispatch, arrest and booking processes, along with inmate tracking, imaging, mug shots, electronic dispositioning, and interfaces to mobile communications. Tyler’s Sheriff System is currently installed in nearly 70 counties in Texas.
Implementation of Tyler’s Sheriff System is a major step to help Montgomery County meet the long-term information needs of both its employees and citizens. “After reviewing all of the companies responding to our request for proposal, we found Tyler Technologies to be clearly the best choice for our Computer Aided Dispatch, Jail and Records system requirements,” commented Montgomery County Sheriff Guy L.
