Dallas, March 8, 2007 -- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that it has signed contracts with Grayson and Guadalupe counties in Texas for the implementation of its Odyssey court case management system. Odyssey is Tyler's new generation Web-based court management solution for the state and local government market.
Both Grayson and Guadalupe counties are members of the Texas Conference of Urban Counties (Urban Counties) and will adopt the Odyssey system under the $12.4 million software license agreement signed last year between Tyler and the Urban Counties. Grayson and Guadalupe counties have each separately contracted with Tyler for implementation and other professional services, as well as for the Odyssey law enforcement solution, in these new agreements. The combined value of the contracts is approximately $2.6 million.
Grayson County has a population of approximately 116,000 and is located in north Texas, 60 miles north of Dallas. The County includes the cities of Sherman, the county seat, and Denison, the birthplace of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Grayson County is a distribution and trade center for north Texas and southern Oklahoma, and is home to Austin College and Grayson County Junior College.
Located in south central Texas between the cities of San Antonio and Austin, Guadalupe County has approximately 100,000 residents, many of whom commute to work in one of those cities. Guadalupe County has seen its population grow by more than 50% since 1990. Seguin is the county seat and the home of Texas Lutheran College.
"We are extremely pleased to announce these new agreements with Grayson and Guadalupe counties, both of which have been Tyler clients for many years," commented Dustin Womble, Executive Vice President of Tyler Technologies. "They represent the seventh and eighth counties of the 34 Urban Counties members to adopt our Odyssey solution. We are looking forward to providing them with the most advanced court system on the market, and are confident that the staff and citizens of both counties will realize substantial benefits from our new technology."
