Dallas, July 31, 2007—Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that it has signed a contract to provide Tyler's Odyssey integrated courts and justice system for Ector County, Texas. The value of the contract, including software licenses and professional services, is approximately $1.2 million.
Ector County will implement a full suite of Odyssey applications, including Odyssey Courts in both the District and County Clerk's offices, Odyssey JP in the Justice of the Peace courts; Odyssey Prosecutor; Odyssey Jail; and Odyssey Law Enforcement. The County has used Tyler's legacy software to manage its courts and justice automation for many years.
"Moving to Tyler's Odyssey system will provide Ector County with the most advanced courts and justice technology available," commented County Judge Susan Redford. "These tools will, in turn, allow us to significantly improve service to taxpayers and other constituents of the courts, while operating more efficiently and saving tax dollars."
Ector County is located in the Permian Basin in West Texas. The County has a population of approximately 121,000. A major oil and gas production center, Ector County covers more than 900 square miles. Odessa is the county's largest city and seat of government.
