Dallas, January 8, 2004 -- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that its Eden Systems unit has been selected by Hawaii County, Hawaii to provide integrated financial software to meet the county’s growing needs. The total estimated value of the contract, including software, services and support, is more than $900,000.
Under the contract, Tyler will provide Eden Systems’ InForum Gold software for financial, payroll and human resource, and citizen services applications. The County will also implement InForum Gold utility billing software to manage the account receivable process for utilities.
In January 2003, Hawaii County issued a request for proposal for new software to replace its aging in-house financial system. After a thorough evaluation of several vendors, the County selected Tyler’s Eden Systems division as the vendor most capable of meeting its needs.
“We look forward to having a team with knowledge and experience to assist us with the implementation of our new system,” commented Bill Gray, Hawaii County Purchasing Agent. “In all phases of the selection process, Eden Systems demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, and we’re confident that will continue through training and implementation.”
Hawaii County expects that the new software will help streamline internal processes and expedite reporting. “We anticipate being able to produce much more timely reports with a much more useful information,” stated Mr. Gray. “We also hope to eliminate a great deal of paperwork.”
Hawaii County encompasses the “Big Island” of Hawaii, the largest and southernmost island in the state, with a population of approximately 155,000. The County currently uses Tyler’s Integrated Assessment System software, which it purchased in 2000, to manage its property tax functions.
