Mesa County, Colorado Selects EDEN® Software From Tyler Technologies |
Dallas, October 28, 2004 -- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that Mesa County, Colorado has signed a contract to purchase Tyler’s EDEN® software for financial, payroll, human resources and utility billing applications. In addition, Tyler will provide implementation, training and support services to Mesa County. The total value of the contract is approximately $1.3 million.
Mesa County is located on the western border of Colorado and is home to more than 120,000 people in 15 communities. The largest of these and the county seat is the city of Grand Junction.
For the implementation of its new financial software, Mesa County will utilize EDEN’s “Turnkey” approach to integration. The Turnkey approach means that Tyler will take additional responsibility for the conversion and implementation process in Mesa County. Tyler has contracted to perform much of the setup and pre-configuration of the new system. This approach, which has been extremely successful in other EDEN installations, means that Mesa County staff will spend more of their time learning to use the system and less time performing initial setup functions.
“We feel very fortunate that so many high profile software vendors expressed interest in Mesa County,” commented Lonnie Sale, project manager for the County. “While several of the proposals we received could meet the basic requirements of the County, the entire selection team felt that the EDEN solution from Tyler Technologies not only met our needs, but also shared the County’s technology vision. When we began this project we were looking for a new financial system – and what we ended up with in Tyler is a technology partner that also happens to provide world class software.”
Jeff Green, President of Tyler’s EDEN division, stated, “We are excited to embark on our partnership with Mesa County. While our product’s industry-leading functionality and technology were instrumental in Mesa County’s decision to select EDEN software, by combining our products with excellent service, support and a singular focus on local government, we are able to provide a total solution that will work for the County and its constituents for years to come.”
