Tyler
Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed an agreement with the city of
Peoria, Illinois, for Tyler's Munis® enterprise resource
planning (ERP) and EnerGov™ solutions. The agreement includes
the management of financials, human resources, and revenue, as well as
licensing and regulatory and permitting and land management suites.
Approximately 50 counties, cities, and villages in Illinois use Tyler's
Munis solution; Peoria marks the sixth city since March 2017 to select
the Munis and EnerGov solutions together for its jurisdiction.
The city was seeking a new vendor to provide solutions that would
increase functionality for its departments and integrate well with its
other software. It ultimately selected Tyler because of its singular
focus on the public sector, its breadth of modules, depth of
functionality, and software integration.
"We're pleased to select Tyler to help manage crucial information within
our city's departments," said Sam Rivera, chief information officer,
city of Peoria. "We believe the combination of the two solutions will
not only increase efficiency for our staff but allow us to better
interact with our constituents and provide them with increased customer
service support."
Tyler will provide a single, integrated suite of software with Munis and
EnerGov, which will benefit the city in many ways, including:
-
Enabling electronic workflow to eliminate paper-laden processes and
increase efficiency of distributing important information
-
Providing a platform for the city to bill and collect all city parcels
for storm water for the first time
-
Offering online and real-time two-way communication with residents,
employees, and vendors
-
Allowing for easy, online storage and retrieval of documents such as
purchase orders, invoices, bills, permits, and checks
-
Enabling fiscal control and transparency of the city's procurement and
budgeting processes
-
Providing significantly more functionality, including mobile
capability, for the city's community development inspectors
"We look forward to working with Peoria to bring them a fully integrated
solution to manage everything from financials to land management," said
Andy Teed, president of Tyler's Enterprise Group. "Combining two strong
Tyler solutions - Munis and EnerGov - will not only advance the city's
processes, but will enable better communication with their community."
Peoria is in central Illinois and has a population of more than 110,000.
The city will now join the county in using EnerGov, and Peoria County
also uses Tyler's Odyssey® court case management solution and
Eagle™ land and vital records solution. Tyler also provides
its Versatrans® solution to Peoria Public Schools.
