Tyler
Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced that it has signed an
agreement with the Maine Judicial Branch (MJB) for its New World™
Enterprise Records solution. The MJB is Tyler's first New World public
safety client in the state of Maine, as well as the first state
government entity to purchase the latest version of Tyler's Enterprise
Records solution.
The Office of Judicial Marshals, a statutorily authorized law
enforcement agency that is part of the Maine Judicial Branch, provides
court security and entry screening at all court locations across the
state of Maine. After considering a variety of solutions, the MJB
decided to partner with Tyler for a state-of-the-art records management
solution that could be integrated with their Odyssey case management
system and configured to meet its needs.
The MJB was already familiar with Tyler, having signed a 10-year, $16.8
million contract for Tyler's Odyssey unified case management system for
all case types in late 2016. Because of this initial positive
relationship with Tyler and planned integrations between Odyssey and New
World Enterprise Records, the MJB selected Tyler to provide its public
safety solution after an impressive product demonstration.
"Tyler's market leading case management system combined with its
state-of-the-art public safety solution will provide the MJB with an
enhanced ability to manage threats and incidents associated with court
activities. Additionally, the consistent architecture of Tyler's
solutions will reduce the number of disparate systems to support, along
with the cost and risk of upgrades, maintenance and support," said David
Packard, chief information officer, Maine Judicial Branch.
Tyler's New World Enterprise Records will allow the Office of Judicial
Marshals to quickly store, retrieve and analyze critical court safety
information. With Tyler's product, data is shared across all roles and
functions, so users always see the most recent information they need.
Tyler will work closely with the MJB to define the desired integrations
and workflows between Enterprise Records and its Odyssey case management
system, accelerating the Tyler Alliance vision, which aims to connect
criminal justice departments. The goal is to connect the MJB's
operations and its selected Tyler products to share information without
barriers.
"We're thrilled to bring the latest version of our Enterprise Records
solution to the Maine Judicial Branch and for the benefits that come
from integration with their existing Odyssey solution," said Greg
Sebastian, president of Tyler's Public Safety Division. "As a
browser-based platform, it will also provide cross-platform and
multi-device support while adding flexibility and speed for installation
and training."
Tyler has had a long-standing presence in Maine, with more than 700
employees in its Yarmouth, Falmouth, and Bangor offices, and more than
215 clients across the state.
