Tyler Technologies Launches 'InSite' Web Portal for Local Government |
DALLAS, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Dallas-based Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced the general availability of its "InSite" strategic local government web portal product. The InSite portal allows local governments to easily establish and maintain a robust and interactive presence on the World Wide Web.
The InSite portal allows the public direct access to city governments via the Internet to:
pay traffic and parking tickets via credit card or on-line checks,
access utility billing records, including transaction payment history and historical consumption information,
pay utility bills,
request city services, and
receive timely city government information.
InSite provides an easy way for non-technical local government staff to publish and update timely content to the Web without the need for specialized programming skills, through the use of an extensive array of back-end tools and formatting capabilities.
"The release of InSite is another step in Tyler's strategy to be the premier provider of e-government solutions to local government. InSite is a great example of how we are developing products to make our local government customers more accessible to the general public through modern technology," commented John M. Yeaman, Tyler's president.
"InSite allows the public to complete payment transactions with local government and utility offices and to obtain information without standing in line or spending valuable time on the telephone. The end result is greater efficiency and cost savings for local government, and greater convenience for the public," Yeaman continued.
"We will continue to enhance InSite, which will soon also provide local governments with e-solutions for business licenses, building permits, code enforcement and citizen complaint management activities," added Yeaman.
With Tyler's information management systems already processing tickets in hundreds of courts and generating utility bills in over a thousand municipalities, Tyler is well positioned to capture a large share of the millions of transactions that occur each month in these local government agencies. In addition to Tyler's existing customer base of over 5,000 local government offices in 49 states, Canada, and Puerto Rico, the new front-end, browser based InSite product can be utilized by the over 3,000 counties and over 40,000 local government agencies in the country.
